Why Fungi?

We're all about blending ancient wisdom with modern life. Fungi have been part of daily routines for centuries, traditionally associated with energy, focus and overall wellbeing.

At MOTHERFUNGI® we use Lion's Mane, Chaga and Cordyceps, traditionally associated with mental clarity, sustained energy and resilience. No caffeine, sugar or artificial ingredients.

Why would I drink fungi?

If your mornings run on caffeine and your afternoons run out of steam, functional mushrooms are worth knowing about. They've been part of daily routines across Asia and Northern Europe for centuries, traditionally associated with steady energy, focus and resilience - without the caffeine.

That's the idea behind GOOD MORNING MOTHERFUNGI®: one small daily habit to support your energy, focus and immune system. One level teaspoon added to whatever you normally have in the morning.

Every serving also gives you 100% NRV of seven B vitamins plus vitamins C and D. Vitamins B2, B3, B5, B6, B9, B12 and C contribute to the reduction of tiredness and fatigue, and B6, B9, B12, C and D to the normal function of the immune system.

What does it taste like?

Not much. Our blends contain no artificial flavourings or sugar. Adding the correct serving of 1x level teaspoon to your protein shake, hot drink or smoothie should not affect the taste when mixed well. Sediment may collect at the bottom of a hot drink (as hot chocolate powder might), so we recommend to stir again after half a cup.

What are functional mushrooms?

Functional mushrooms naturally contain compounds such as beta-glucans (a type of fibre) and polyphenols. They're not a quick fix: the tradition is to take them every day as part of your routine.

What matters on a label is which part of the mushroom is used and how much of it you're getting. Many products use mycelium grown on grain, where some of what you're paying for can be the grain. We use concentrated fruiting body extracts, each equivalent to 1,000mg of whole mushroom per serving.

What are adaptogens?

Adaptogens are nature's stress bouncers, or at least that's their reputation. They're a group of herbs, mushrooms and plants traditionally associated with helping the body handle everyday stress, whether it's from work, workouts or that endless to-do list. They're not instant fixes: the tradition is daily, consistent use.

What are the benefits of Lion's Mane?

Lion's Mane is a shaggy white mushroom that grows on hardwood trees. In traditional Chinese and Japanese practice it's associated with focus and mental clarity, which is why it's in a morning blend.

It's one of the best-known functional mushrooms in the world, and the one most people reach for first for a clearer start to the day. Each serving contains a concentrated fruiting body extract equivalent to 1,000mg of Lion's Mane.

What are the benefits of Chaga?

Chaga grows on birch trees in cold northern forests and has a long history as a tea in Siberia and Northern Europe, where it's traditionally associated with general wellbeing. It naturally contains polyphenols.

Each serving contains an extract equivalent to 1,000mg of Chaga. For the protective side, that's the vitamin C's job: it contributes to the protection of cells from oxidative stress.

What are the benefits of Cordyceps?

Cordyceps has been used in traditional Tibetan and Chinese practice for centuries, where it's associated with energy and stamina. Wild Cordyceps is rare and very expensive, so the Cordyceps in supplements today is almost always cultivated. Each serving contains a concentrated fruiting body extract equivalent to 1,000mg of Cordyceps.

Is it sustainable?

Yes. Mushrooms grow quickly and need relatively little space to grow.

Upgrade your routine, MOTHERFUNGI.
